Our history - a collaborative beginning.
Prime Purge's story began in 1998 when leading oil companies recognized the need for a dedicated, industry-wide response capability to manage oil spills more effectively. Understanding that oil spills were a shared challenge rather than the sole responsibility of individual companies, BP, Esso, Texaco, Petro-Canada, and Mobil came together to form what is now known as Prime Purge Inc.
What started as a single-company initiative quickly evolved into a global cooperative, founded on the principle that collaboration enhances preparedness and response capabilities across the industry.
Over the years, Prime Purge Inc. has built its reputation as a premier environmental service and emergency response company. The team's commitment to being ready to respond continues to reinforce Prime Purge Inc.'s position as the industry leader in comprehensive environmental solutions. RELIABLE RESPONSE
Prime Purge Inc. has never failed to mount an effective spill response in nearly three decades of operation and is often called upon by the USCG when it has been forced to take over on-water recovery operations in a spill response.
